Pro Golf Weekly announces editorial team changes

Pro Golf Weekly has expanded coverage of the pro tours, equipment, travel, player profiles, video content, breaking golf news and three newly created positions - Business, Equipment and Travel Editors.

BOSTON, Mass – Pro Golf Weekly, a leading golf media brand, has announced changes to its editorial team. Effective October 1, three respected and well-known golf journalists have been hired to newly created positions at Pro Golf Weekly, which was recently acquired by Gorman Golf Media.

Ed Travis has been named Equipment Editor. Ed is an award-winning sports writer and golf journalist spanning 30 years and is a well-known and respected figure in the golf media industry. His work covering the business of golf, equipment, golf personalities and travel is prominently featured in numerous print and electronic publications.

Ed Travis has joined the editorial team at Pro Golf Weekly as Equipment Editor.

Mike Bailey has been named Travel Editor. Mike is an award-winning golf journalist whose career has spanned more than 30 years. A former president of the Texas Golf Writers Association, he has visited more than 2,000 golf courses throughout North America and other parts of the world, writing about every facet of the golf industry, including instruction, competition, equipment, the turfgrass industry, and, of course, travel.

His resume includes work with the Golf Channel’s Golf Advisor and Golf Pass, Golf Monthly, PGA Magazine, the Golfweek Group, and Avid Golfer Magazine.

Mike Bailey is the new Travel Editor at Pro Golf Weekly.

In his role as Travel Editor, Mike will produce a weekly review and commentary from a recent visit to one of his favorite golf destinations. Mike will offer unfiltered reviews designed to be the most trusted and reliable source for readers seeking fresh information about the resort or golf course.

Bill Sangster, a life-long golf aficionado and former Sergeant in Marines, moved to Cape Cod in 1974 where he raised his family while working as educator with the Sandwich School System for 23 years.
