What Junior Golfers Should Know During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Roger Knick, founder of the Junior Golf Hub and Golf Performance Center, brings 25-plus years of experience, PGA and TPI certifications, and a team providing coaching, nutrition, mental game and equipment fundamentals specifically for talented young players.

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – The Junior Golf Hub is the premier online community for junior golfers, parents and college coaches. The Hub provides the industry’s most advanced, all-in-one suite of technology tools and education to help young players on the journey to college golf. Junior Golf Hub is a tool for junior golfers age 13-plus, their parents, and college golf coaches seeking top talent.

Roger Knick, founder of the Junior Golf Hub (JGH) and The Golf Performance Center, the Northeast’s leading golf academy located in Ridgefield, Connecticut, in his latest podcast episode provides juniors and their parents with information on how to maximize their time during the current health situation and move forward with the college recruiting process.

Knick interviews JGH Customer Success Manager Rick Dowling, who shares his extensive knowledge of the current college golf climate and how juniors can put themselves in the best position to achieve their goals. The podcast can be heard on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play and iHeartRadio.

“As the most trusted resource for junior golfers in terms of development and achieving goals, we feel this was a very important topic to cover,” said Knick. “The health crisis is a difficult time for all of them, especially high school seniors, and we want to ensure that they have as many options and as much knowledge and insight as they can use.”

In addition to his role with the JGH, Dowling is a competitive golfer and coach. He was a four-year member and two-time captain of the Fairfield University (Conn.) Men’s Division-I Golf Team. He was an assistant coach for the Men’s and women’s teams in 2016 and is the current 2017 Connecticut State Amateur Golf Champion.

Originally from Danville, Virginia, Knick is a 1989 graduate of Elon University. He is a Sports Performance Specialist, having spent over 20 years developing and refining his knowledge and practical application of coaching. He is a Class-A PGA Professional, TPI Level III and K-Motion Biomechanics certified instructor.

Knick has worked with aspiring high school and collegiate athletes, as well as PGA, LPGA, NHL, MLB, NBA and NFL players. His ability to coach many different levels is due to his diverse background in sports and the understanding that “function dictates form.” As a former division one athlete and professional athlete, he has a deep understanding of his clients’ goals, objectives and how to work with them to make it happen.
