Topgolf Opens its 48th U.S. Location in Myrtle Beach

Topgolf is a $25 million dollar-plus multi-level entertainment complex featuring high-tech golf balls & gaming, climate-controlled hitting bays, food, drinks & music opening its 48th U.S. location in Myrtle Beach this week.

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina – By now you’ve either heard of Topgolf, read about it or visited one of their 48 U.S. locations.

Topgolf is a golf-themed sports business offering a unique blend of technology, entertainment, food & beverage. Each venue has a multi-level complex featuring high-tech golf balls and gaming, climate-controlled hitting bays, menu, cocktails, music & events.

Each Topgolf hitting bay or “swing suite” is equipped with Toptracer, real-time tracking technology as seen on TV, showing all kinds of statistics & details of ball flight.

This week Topgolf opens the doors to its first South Carolina location in Myrtle Beach, featuring a new three-level, 55,000-square-foot venue, which is the company’s 53rd location worldwide. The new location expects about 300,000 visitors this year.

Guests can enjoy point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay.

Topgolf venues feature a chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, big screen TVs, flexible private event spaces and music in climate-controlled hitting bays. Year-round programs include events for kids and families, social leagues, groups, golf tournaments and instruction, and most of the Topgolf locations are in warm climates.

The closest New England location in New Jersey, with talk of a future site in Cranston, Rhode Island possibly next year. The initial investment to build the site exceeds 425 million & all sites are corporate-owned.

The new Myrtle Beach venue is located at 2850 Robert M. Grissom Parkway. More than 350 full- and part-time associates have been hired in advance of the opening. Topgolf claims to serve about 17 million guests annually.
