Spring in New England is a time to take it all in. Breathtaking tours of the Berkshires, scenic road trips along the highways of New Hampshire and some coastal golf on the Cape. The slate is too long to list.
But you can now add spa treatments to this list of New England spring to-dos.
No longer a West Coast privilege, spa services are popping up all over our region. And one place setting the standards in New England is The Spa at Norwich Inn – especially for the golf set.
Offering a world class spa with over 40 beauty and body programs, The Spa at Norwich Inn is an intimate retreat located in Southern Connecticut on 42 acres of lush, manicured landscape. If there were ever a place to rediscover yourself, this could be it.
On the grounds are two eateries, Ascot’s and Kensington’s, that are as different as Boston and Brattleboro. While Ascot’s is more of an informal New England pub (with some tasty New England Clam Chowder), Kensington’s is fine cuisine at its best.
Golf can be played at the top-rated 18-hole Norwich Golf Course, designed by William Tull in 1924. The course is relatively short at 6,228 yards, but, like most courses built in that bygone era, it plays much longer with subtle trickiness. Be prepared for a challenge.
Situated conveniently near major interstates, a drive from Boston is no more difficult and taxing than a Friday commute to the Cape.
Your tee time… and facial are waiting!
