INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – The Reserve Club here is celebrating its 20th anniversary in style with an $11.5 million clubhouse. The club, which features a Tom Weiskopf/Jay Moorish-designed golf that hugs the Santa Rosa Mountains, is one of top private golf communities in the golf-centric Coachella Valley.
“While various changes and innovations have been added to the clubhouse over the years, it was time for a full updating to maintain the high standards our members expect and to conform to current interests,’’ said Denise Adams, director of membership, sales and marketing at The Reserve. “The idea was to make the clubhouse a more casual gathering place for our members and an extension of their already lovely and luxurious homes, so we opened up the design and décor, brought in more light and a feeling of being part of the outdoors, and modernized the dining and private event facilities along with locker rooms.
“By bringing the clubhouse firmly into the 21st century in design, atmosphere, facilities, and amenities, members and prospects know they’ll be treated to the best service, great parties, and be proud to bring their friends to visit.’’
The Hawk’s Nest, the club’s new bar and lounge, Adams told me, is popular all day long with its expanded casual dining and socializing areas inside and outside on an extended terrace.
“The views of four surrounding mountain ranges and “down Valley” city lights are stunning from this vantage point,’’ Adams told me. “And, watching the sunset over Haystack Mountain is a tradition members treasure in the early evening.’’
Stretching across 700 acres, The Reserve is a low-density community’s Bungalows, Casitas, Villas and Estates each vary in size and design features to create a unique community of homes. Each of the residences share a natural palette of color and textures that captures the drama and beauty of the California desert. A variety of resident and non-resident golf and social memberships are available.
