The forged ZXi family includes the better players ZXi7 players irons and the ZXi5 that Srixon calls a players performance iron and now with the addition of the ZXi5+ they have a players distance iron.
In comparison with the ZXi5 the new + model has slightly stronger lofts, a wider more turf friendly sole and somewhat longer blade dimensions that packaged together give added forgiveness plus greater distance.
Grooves have also been modified, wider in the long irons and more closely set and deeper in the higher lofts. Srixon also has done enhanced laser milling between grooves for more “grip” in all the lofts.
“Our ZXi5 Irons have been, and will continue to be, phenomenal performers but the addition of ZXi5+ allows us to fit a broader range of golfers within the series,” said Casey Shultz, Srixon Senior Product Manager.
New Zealander Ryan Fox’s British Open win at Royal Birkdale in July must have made Srixon’s advertising department ecstatic. He was carrying ZXi7s and ZXi5s for his victory.
