Callaway’s Odyssey putter division with 11% share is the dominant brand in the putter market, but they continue to work hard at innovation and the TRTL is an example. The four shapes are all new and have high MOI or resistance to twisting and the broad alignment lines are visually distinctive.

The S, DB, and CH mid-mallet shapes could be considered “modern” mallets while the TRTL Max is slightly larger. All benefit from the mix of materials in the body that shifts weight towards the outside helping forgiveness and head stability.

Geometry of the TRTL sole has been engineered so when placed behind the ball it sits squarely and flat on the ground which is an aid to aligning the face. The sole weights can be adjusted so the center of gravity of gravity moves according to the user’s preference plus an optional weight kit is available.

The TRTL Ai-Star face insert, like several other Odyssey models, is as the name implies designed making use of artificial intelligence. An aluminum interior is covered by a firm urethane layer with their Forward Roll Design grooves which have an aggressive 19° slope.

It may be even a little hokey but we also like their advertising slogan, “Trust the Turtle.”
