BREWSTER, Mass — Cape Cod’s award-winning Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is open. The award-winning property is welcoming visitors with a refreshed health and sanitation plan, renovations to its one-bedroom villas and a new lineup of golf packages with flexible booking policies.
The 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course and nine tennis courts are also open, and the property is also open for overnight stays and will resume operations for dining and recreational activities under its new social distancing and safety guidelines. The well- being of resort guests, members and staff remains the highest priority.
To ensure that guests feel at ease and secure, the resort’s executive team has created a comprehensive health and sanitation plan in accordance with the CDC and local authorities to provide a safe environment for a worry-free and relaxed getaway. Notable actions include reduced capacity and a minimum of six feet of space between tables at on-site restaurants, enhanced room service and takeout options, thorough guestroom sanitation plans, housekeeping services omitted upon request, and social distancing practices during check-in and check-out.

Guests will also find the transformation of its secluded one-bedroom Britterige Villas following a $5.5 million investment. Primed to create the ideal vacation retreat, these 116 villas are well-suited for extended stays both for families and couples. The 20 Lower Level Britterige Villas were refreshed with a top-to-bottom paint job and enhanced furnishings, while the remaining 96 Britterige Villas, including the signature Britterige Blueberry Pond Villa, received full-scale renovations that touched every corner of the 750 sq. ft. villas, including new carpet, furnishings, kitchenette, décor and fixtures
Ocean Edge has also launched a series of private, carefully curated experiences spaced across the resort’s expansive 429 acres, such as private oyster tours in the Brewster Flats and individual archery lessons. Whether travelers are staying in villas within The Villages, seaside villas at The Mansion or within The Mansion itself, these private activities are available to all resort guests.
Additional exclusive experiences include: private ocean view dining on the second floor of The Mansion, private beach fires during sunset, beach attendant and beach chairs; private golf instruction on the Nicklaus Design golf course; private yoga class on the resort’s 700-foot stretch of private beach; and summer-inspired picnics on the Mansion Front Lawn. This summer the resort is also introducing six pickleball courts to its vast list of existing outdoor recreational activities, which includes kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on Blueberry Pond, 26 miles of trails for biking and hiking, five pools, a croquet court, a luxury day spa, private beach and more.

Finally, to ensure peace of mind when booking, Ocean Edge has relaxed its cancellation policies for summer visits. For stays now through June 25, reservations can be canceled with no penalty up to 24-hours prior to check-in. Visits from June 26 through September 3 have an eight-day cancellation policy; blackout dates and restrictions apply. Additionally, Ocean Edge is extending an exclusive offer of 50% off stays to healthcare workers for their heroic efforts and some well-deserved relaxation; valid for stays through October 12, 2020, blackout dates apply.
