LPGA Hall of Fame Instructor and PGA Member, Kay McMahon, will be conducting FREE weekly education & instructional webinars on ZOOM open to players of all skill levels.

BOSTON, Mass – “Everything you wanted to know about golf but are afraid to ask!” is the playful yet purpose driven theme of Q&A Fridays with Kay – a weekly webinar program hosted by LPGA Hall of Fame Instructor and PGA Member, Kay McMahon. On Friday, December 18, Roberto Suarez, Sports and Performance Breath Coach, will be the featured guest appearing live on Zoom, from 9:00 -10:00 am, exploring questions about proper breath techniques for golf and how to improve the mental side of your game.

Suarez, better known as el Happy Coach, is the creator of BreathPlay Coaching. A master Yoga and Tai Chi instructor and former star athlete, Suarez coaches professional golfers and amateurs on how to perform and play golf at their optimal level. His BreathPlay Coaching includes techniques and training learned under breathwork pioneers and experts Leonard Orr, Sondra Ray and Dan Brule, Best Selling author of “Just Breathe” – hailed by motivational guru Tony Robbins as the “definitive breathwork handbook.”

Two-time Masters Champion and 12-time PGA Tour Champion, Bubba Watson, 41, revealed prior to The Northern Trust in August, that he had started working with a breath coach in an attempt to match up his breathing and heart rate into a more relaxed state. After being “fired” by his swing coach Claude Harmon III for “being so mental” according to Watson, and slipping to 65th in the world rankings, he realized it was time to go to work on learning to calm his fidgety mind that’s been racing inside the ropes for the past 15 years of his career.

“You start by taking deep breaths and – I won’t tell you my secrets completely – but you start breathing differently and focusing on those things instead of focusing on this over here,” he said. “We all know the world has proven that breathing properly can definitely calm you down and relieve some stress or anxiety.”

McMahon and Suarez will discuss how to overcome your fears, anxiety, jitters,

doubts, stress, repeating negative patterns and lack of self-confidence on the golf course. Through his 35 years of experience as a life and business coach, Suarez will create the space for you to “Shift Your Current Reality” by “Connecting to Your Inner Power” through breathwork.

“Golfers will learn the importance of breathing consciously to clear their mind, recover and get through challenging and critical moments and situations on the golf course,” said Suarez. “We will create a daily breathing practice that will give players that competitive edge by learning how to stay relaxed and in the present moment.”
