DELRAY BEACH, Florida – Country Club of Roswell, just north of Atlanta, Georgia, this month is creating a new Kid’s Area and will be renovating its ballroom by the end of the summer, each as part of an investment by owners, Concert Golf Partners.
With more than 600 kids and a growing junior member population, it is only fitting that the Kid’s Area take priority. New flat screen TV’s, gaming systems, arts and crafts tables and play furniture are part of this new 1,100-square-foot space designated for both small children and an area for “tweens.”
The 6,000-square-foot ballroom, with a capacity of 300 but flexible for all types of events, will have new carpeting, paint, decorative lighting (chandeliers, pendant and sconces), and Chiavari event chairs. A private meeting room for business and club events is also being planned.
“We’re a family-oriented club and needed more areas for our youngest members,” said Club General Manager John Spiess. “Engaging kids while their parents participate in golf, tennis and other social activities is important to our membership.”
Country Club of Roswell features ia multitude of programs for athletic, social and corporate uses for its membership. The club also plans to build a splash pad for the kids, an adult bar at the pool, new tennis court LED lights and clay court resurfacing, an outdoor dining courtyard, and a new irrigation system for the golf course. The recapitalization afforded by Concert Golf Partners, which purchased the property in February, will allow these projects and more to become a reality.
