NAPLES, Florida – The Chubb Classic remains the longest-standing PGA TOUR Champions event held in one metropolitan area and annually boasts one of the best fields on the senior circuit tour. Over the years, legends of the game such as Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson and Raymond Floyd while former champions include World Golf Hall of Famers Gary Player(1988) and Steve Stricker, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, Fred Couples and Bernhard Langer.
The elite 78-player field will compete in the 54-hole championship at the Black Course at Tiburón Golf Club Friday–Sunday, Feb. 14–16, for a share of the $1.8 million purse.
Three former tournament winners and several major champions are among the latest additions to the 2025 field.
Past Chubb winners Kirk Triplett (2014), Lee Janzen (2015) and Joe Durant (2018) join Steve Stricker (2021), five-time Chubb champion Bernhard Langer and defending champ Stephen Ames.
“We are thrilled about the return of many of our past champions and major champions in what is shaping up to be an incredible a world-class field as the 2025 PGA TOUR Champions season kicks off in full swing,” said Sandy Diamond, executive director for the Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO.
Also joining the field are major champions Mark Calcavecchia, Darren Clarke, Tom Lehman, Justin Leonard, Corey Pavin, David Toms and Y.E. Yang.
Tiburón Golf Club, managed by Troon, is the only facility to host a PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and LPGA Tour event in the same calendar year. Tiburón Golf Club features two 18-hole Championship golf courses, The Gold and The Black.
