Another Reason to Visit Reunion Resort

Reunion Resort, in Orlando, is home to signature design courses by Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and Arnold Palmer and home to Annika Sorenstam’s golf academy, will now offer a club fitting program with equipment company Honma Golf.

ORLANDO – Reunion Resort & Golf Club here on Orlando’s west side has signed a partnership deal with Honma Golf to bring the Honma Experience to the property that features golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson, as well as 360 resort-style accommodations, ranging from luxury multi-room villas to private three- to 13-bedroom vacation homes, and 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Honma will provide a private club fitting experience to Reunion Resort’s members and guests. The new facility is set to open at the Reunion Golf Academy in January 2020.

“The Honma Experience will be a welcomed addition to our resort,” said Kevin Baker, Kingwood International Corporate Director of Golf & Membership. “It adds even more value to a Reunion visit for our members, guests and local community by providing the opportunity to amplify their golf game with an elevated brand experience and a one-of-a-kind equipment fitting.”

Honma Golf is Japan-based company continuing to build its brand in North America with sales over $300 million and Justin Rose its primary ambassador.

Fittings will be available by reservation and will range from $150 to $350. Each custom fitting features a personalized process to match the golfer with the proper Honma equipment to optimize distance, accuracy and performance. Honma offers equipment to fit all golfers, with three families aligned with different golfer segments: tour validated T/World, new game improvement line XP-1, and BERES.

Honma, which is launching new Tour-inspired products in early 2020, recently opened a North America headquarters in Carlsbad, Calif.

“We are excited to partner with Reunion Resort & Golf Club and introduce more golfers to the Honma Way of beautifully crafted performance,” said Brad Holder, Honma Vice President Marketing. “We’ve heard a lot of demand for Honma equipment and fitting experiences, and Reunion is a perfect destination in the heart of a vibrant golf community.”
