2025 Travelers Championship Boasts Best PGA Tour Field Ever

The 2025 Travelers Championship tees off June 19-22 at TPC River Highland in Cromwell CT) featuring a star-studded field of the top PGA Tour players boasting its best field ever.

HARTFORD, Connecticut – Every player in the Top 15 of the current Official World Golf Ranking eligible to play – and 45 of the top 50 – committed to play in the Travelers Championship, which begins Thursday June 19 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

Entry deadline for the PGA Tour’s eighth and final Signature Event was Friday, and the final field was completed after J.J. Spaun’s dramatic victory on Sunday at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club. Spaun, the only player to finish under (1-under 279), won his first major championship when he drove the par-4 17th hole and two-putted for a birdie and then made a 64-foot birdie putt on No. 18 to finish two ahead of Robert MacIntyre.

Spaun, who though he might have give up the PGA Tour a year ago because of such poor play, became the first player on the PGA Tour since 2003 to shoot in the 40s on the front nine of the final round and go on to win (40-32). He also became the first player since Webb Simpson in 2012 to win the championship on his second attempt, vaulted from 25th to eighth in the Official World Golf Ranking and nearly locked up a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup Team that will face Europe on Sept. 25-25 at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, N.Y.

“Fortunately, it was my time,” said Spaun, who bogeyed five of his first six holes Sunday before his gritty comeback to add to his only other PGA Tour title in the 2022 Valero Texas Open after losing a playoff to No. 2 Rory McIlroy in The Players Championship. “I never thought it would be here holding this trophy. I’ve always had aspirations and dreams.”
