MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina – Now entering its 13th edition on November 16-19, the Style Driver Fall Classic was created by Golf Tourism Solutions to capture the peak of autumn golf and showcase Myrtle Beach’s premier golf courses while giving players the opportunity to compete on some of the most lauded layouts the “Grand Strand” has to offer.
Designed for players who enjoy tournament competition, the Style Driver Fall Classic combines championship-caliber golf for amateurs, 72-holes, four courses, two-man team competition, skins action and daily prizes. While much of the country is putting their clubs away for the winter, Myrtle Beach offers year-round golf, making this road trip a popular season-ending event, and perfect opportunity to escape the cold and experience the best golf South Carolina has to offer.
What started as a small local gathering now draws nearly 700 players annually with golf enthusiasts from across the United States, Canada and even as far away as Hawaii registered. The event expanded its footprint to feature rotations across 22 of the best golf courses in the region, making it one of the largest multi-course two-man amateur tournaments in the world.

Established in 1969, Golf Tourism Solutions (GTS) is a promotional and technology agency dedicated to driving economic growth across the Myrtle Beach region through world-class destination marketing, event management, and industry innovation. The goal is simple: keep elevating Myrtle Beach as “The Golf Capital of the World®” while supporting the local businesses and residents that thrive alongside it. GTS also own and manage the World Amateur Handicap Championship, World Am Q-School, Veterans Golf Classic and Family Golf Week.
This 72-hole event uses four types of team competition. Day one is Best-Ball, day two is Texas Scramble, day three is Best-Ball, and day four is Modified Alternate Shot.

“Several years ago we decided to play in the Style Driver Classic held each November at Myrtle Beach,” said Bill Zeoli, an avid player and golf entrepreneur from Peabody, Massachusetts. “Style Driver is a clothing company devoted to golf and this event fulfills just about every need the traveling golfer has on his or her tournament list.”
Among the courses hosting this year’s tournament are: TPC Myrtle Beach, Tidewater, Myrtle Beach National, Barefoot Resort, Caledonia, Grande Dunes, True Blue and World Tour.
“The format is competitive, but fun as well, since the event is a two man team effort. Played over four days, there are two better ball rounds, one “bramble” type round and one “scramble”. Handicaps and flights are very well checked out and coordinated both by ability and age,” added Zeoli.

“Since the field is limited to 350 teams, the organizers have identified the best of the best and play only on the top rated Grand Strand venues. Last year my team played at Grand Dunes, River Hills, Glen Dornoch and a Barefoot Landing course. With an entry fee of $599, including a terrific “goodie” bag with a Style Driver piece of clothing, a $50 gift card to local restaurants and other swag, it’s hard to beat the value. Oh, and a final day lunch at whichever course you are playing is another fine add on. Prizes are awarded to the top teams in every flight,” Zeoli posted in an email about his excellent experience, although a shoulder injury prevents him from playing this year. “Add the always mild November weather and the off season hotel prices and you have an extraordinary golf experience.”
