2019 Tour Championship tee times, TV schedule and purse

The yearlong FedEx Cup reaches its conclusion this weekend as 30 golfers compete to take home the $15 million prize at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, and Justin Thomas is seeded No. 1 and the player to beat.

BOSTON, Mass – The 2019 FedEx Cup Playoffs reach their climax this week with the Tour Championship at East Lake. You can find a full Tour Championship viewer’s guide below, with tee times, purse info, and everything else you need to know before the tournament begins.

Tour Championship preview:

The Tour Championship represents the finale to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but that’s one of the few similarities between this season’s event and Tour Championships in years past. A new scoring system was implemented this year, with players being awarded starting scores based on their FedEx Cup ranking at the beginning of the week.

What you need to know about the new Tour Championship scoring system:

With the starting scores system in place, the winner of the Tour Championship will automatically win the FedEx Cup as well (under this system, Tiger Woods wouldn’t have won either title in 2018). The winning player receives a paycheck worth a whopping $15 million, an increase from the $10 million grand prize in previous years.

Justin Thomas, who won the 2017 FedEx Cup, sits in first place thanks to his victory at the BMW Championship last week. That means he’ll start the Tour Championship at 10 under. Patrick Cantlay is in second and will start his first round at eight under. Brooks Koepka (No. 3), who held the top position for much of the season, will have a starting score of seven under.
