The New England Golf Course Owners Association (NEGCOA) recently named Willow Brook Golf Course as its 2017 Course of the Year at its Annual Meeting held at Tewksbury Country Club.
Jeffrey Beyer, PGA Head Professional at Willow Brook of The South Windsor (CT), was on-hand to receive the award on behalf of owners Anne and Stafford King.
According to the NEGCOA, courses are judged on four key areas:
1.) Exceptional Quality of the Course
2.) Exceptional Quality of Ownership and Management
3.) Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community
4.) Significant Contributions to the Game.
PGA Tour Golf Course Properties and the Connell Limited Partnership are the sponsors of the annual award.
The NEGCOA, in a press statement, “In reviewing the application, it was evident that the facility [Willow Brook Golf Course] offers a championship course that can accommodate a PGA tour event and yet has enough tee options to handle players of all levels.”
