SAVANNAH, Georgia – My wife and I recently had the opportunity to visit The Landings Golf and Athletic Club in Savannah, Georgia. We were there as members of the International Network of Golf, that we have been part of for over 20 years. The ING membership includes most of the top golf writers in the United States, plus many members from other countries.

The organization selects golf destinations in many parts of the country that would make a good story for their readers. This was the best location that this writer has participated in. Savannah is a wonderful city to visit, and as well, The Landings is a great place to consider living.

The Landings Golf & Athletic Club hosted the 2026 ING Spring Conference with golf played on two of six championship courses.

The Landings is fifteen minutes from downtown Savannah. It is a massive property that includes six championship golf courses, and we played two of them. Two of the courses were designed by Arnold Palmer, two by Arthur Hills and one each by Willard Byrd and Tom Fazio. The conditioning was splendid on both courses we played, and speaking to residents provided information that each of the six was as good as the next. The layouts were well designed with enough water and sand to get your attention. My wife, who is rather new to golf, was able to enjoy the courses we played as the fairways were smooth and fast to make the balls travel further. It was low country golf at its best.

The Landings is not just a golf facility. There are 31 tennis courts, 22 pickleball courts and 8 bocce courts on the massive property. There is also a 52,000 square-foot Fitness and Wellness Center and three outdoor pools on property.

Four of the clubhouses have full dining facilities. We ate at the Palmetto clubhouse and my wife and I both agreed that it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The head chef on property was chosen to be a member of the USA Olympic Team’s chef group at this year’s Olympics in Milan.

There are many different types of memberships, ranging from Full, Golf, Court Sports, Fitness, Pools, Dining and Athletic that includes everything but golf. There are just over 7,500 members and over 1,100 are children. Members come from all parts of the country, with the Mid-Atlantic being the largest group.

The sights and sounds and golf in Savannah at 2026 ING Spring Conference created treasured memories for members & guests.

If you are thinking of someday living this kind of lifestyle and want to have a group of golf courses minutes away from your home, and a great city only 15 minutes away, then this might be something that could work. They also have many different plans available.
