MASHPEE, Mass – If you’re looking for a country club lifestyle on Cape Cod that offers 36 holes of championship golf, award-winning restaurants, tennis programs, private beach and much more then look no further than The Club at New Seabury in Mashpee, MA.
With 36 holes of prime golf real estate overlooking Nantucket Sound, the club offers two distinct and unique courses to choose from that will challenge the skill levels of all golfers.
Both courses, the Ocean Course and the Dunes Course were originally designed by William Mitchell, and recently overhauled and redesigned by Bruce Hepner. The Ocean Course provides a true links golf experience as many of the front nine holes follow along the Atlantic ocean.
The back nine takes you inland where at the turn holes 10 thru 18 offer a quieter, more traditional course with rolling hills, doglegs and protected greens.
The Dunes course went through a major renovation in 2019 that improved the playability of the course. By widening the fairways, repositioning greens and bunkers and minimizing challenging carries, the new course design now provides for a more enjoyable experience.
The impact of the 2020 pandemic on golf participation has been incredible. The club saw a 50 percent increase in golf rounds and participation over 2019. And, a 60 percent increase in female golf participation which went from 90 to 145 golfers.
If golf is not your only passion, other amenities of this gated community include five restaurants, two beach clubs, a cabana club for pool access and poolside enjoyment as well as a fitness center. The athletic club offers the highly popular pickleball and 16 tennis courts with tennis leagues and programs for all ages and levels.
The Club at New Seabury is a private club with various membership options. Golf memberships are separate from over 600 single-family homes and cottages that are located and scattered all along both golf courses and throughout expansive oceanside property.
Overnight accommodations are available for visitors and guests. Resort guests are able to utilize most of the amenities of the club during their stay like golf, tennis, beach and cabana access as well as the dining facilities. A 3-night minimum stay is typically required during the busier peak season times. Offerings include one-and two-bedroom units and cottages.
