Srixon Golf, a division of Dunlop Sports, has had an exceedingly good year with staffers Ryan Fox winning the British Open, Shane Lowry the Amgen Irish Open and J.J. Spaun the BMW PGA Championship with Fox using the ZXi RKT LS model.
The basic ZXi RKT driver model is targeted for average players while the super game-improvement ZXi RKT MAX is Srixon’s highest MOI Driver to date and meant for slower swingers looking to add distance.
Higher swing speed players will gravitate to the ZXi RKT LS with its low spin design and flatter trajectory generated by the deeper face in the slightly smaller head.
“Throughout testing, one of the most consistent themes we heard from players was the desire for more speed across a larger area of the face without giving up consistency,” said Patrick Ripp, Srixon Tour Engineering Manager, the press announcement. “RKT Face was developed to answer that challenge. By combining several technologies into a single performance system, we were able to create a face that not only produces exceptional ball speed but does so more consistently across a wider range of impact locations.”
The ZXi RKT fairway woods ($379.99) and hybrids ($329.99) carry through the driver design and also will be at retail October 16.
