MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina – Mystical Golf – offering “Myrtle Beach’s Finest 54 Holes of Golf” on its acclaimed Witch, Man-O-War and Wizard courses – has announced its three golf courses will now be ‘completely green’ for its guests in December, January, February and March to start the 2020 golf season.
The promise of good conditions are the result of Mystical’s substantial investment in overseeding with Ryegrass emulating the agronomic practices of top echelon courses and will showcase ‘wall to wall’ emerald green fairways, rough and putting surfaces rather than dormant brown conditions found on most courses during the winter.
“With the overseeding of our courses with Ryegrass, customers are going to enjoy the finest playing conditions on the Grand Strand,” says Claude Pardue, President & CEO. “Few other golf facilities anywhere in the U.S. are willing to invest in the costly maintenance procedures such as this new project, but there is nothing more satisfying than golfers raving about how green and lush our courses are after their rounds.”

The three layouts are highlighted by wonderfully fun elements including the only back-to-back island bent grass greens at Man-O-War, a front nine of dramatic hole with 4,000 feet of bridges weaving through secluded swampland teeming with wildlife at the Witch, and a splendid layout reminiscent of Scottish Highlands classic courses complete with sod-faced bunkers and an Old World castle-style clubhouse at the Wizard. Man-O-War’s 15th hole ranks among GOLF Magazine’s “Five Most Memorable Island Greens,” alongside #17 at TPC Sawgrass, “Alcatraz” hole at PGA West’s Stadium Course and Coeur d’Alene Resort’s floating 14th green.
