Justin Thomas won the 2017 Dell Technology Championship shooting 17-under par at TPC Boston over Labor Day weekend.

Tiger Woods gets closer to locking up spot in Boston

NORTON, Mass. – Tournament officials at the Dell Technologies Championship announced that daily grounds tickets, as well as passes to the upgraded HarborOne Champions Club, are now on sale for the 2018 event that will once again serve as the second event of the FedExCup Playoffs. Making its 16th consecutive appearance at TPC Boston, the Dell Technologies Championship will showcase the top 100 players in the FedExCup standings over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 to Sept. 3, 2018.

Following his victory Sunday at the 2018 Masters Tournament, Patrick Reed has locked up his spot in the field at the 2018 Dell Technologies Championship. Reed has played in each of the last five Dell Technologies Championships, with three consecutive top-10s – T6 in 2017, T5 in 2016, and T4 in 2015. Rickie Fowler, the 2015 Dell Technologies Championship winner, finished as the runner-up at Augusta National, falling one shot short of Reed.

In addition to Reed and Fowler, fans attending the 2018 Dell Technologies Championship will likely have a shot at seeing 2006 champion Tiger Woods, who hasn’t played in Boston since 2013. With a T32 finish at the Masters, Woods now has 476 FedExCup points this season. In 2017, 483 FedExCup points were enough to advance to Boston for the second FedExCup Playoff event.

2017 Dell Technologies Championship winner Justin Thomas finished T17 at the Masters and remains atop the FedExCup standings as he looks to become the first player to ever repeat as the FedExCup champion. The winner in Boston has gone on to win the FedExCup each of the last two years following Thomas’ win in 2017 and Rory McIlroy’s 2016 victory.

“As the second of the four FedExCup Playoffs events, the Dell Technologies Championship has proven to be the difference maker for who ultimately wins the Playoffs, and we’ve had some incredible finishes and champions over the years. New England sports are incredibly passionate about golf and will once again be treated with the opportunity to watch the best players in the world tee it up for an affordable price,” said Rich Brady, Executive Director of the Dell Technologies Championship. “With the incredible excitement around the game this season, we expect tickets to go quicker than ever this year and encourage fans to purchase their tickets early for what is sure to be another exciting Labor Day weekend at TPC Boston.”

With every member of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Rankings participating a year ago, fans attending the 2018 Dell Technologies Championship will have the opportunity to witness the likes of defending champion Justin Thomas, current world No. 1 Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and recent Masters champion Patrick Reed compete against other top PGA TOUR players.

Daily Grounds tickets are now available for purchase with prices ranging from $25 to $55, with a Good-Any-One-Day Grounds ticket option priced at $60. The HarborOne Champions Club will offer views of the 17th tee and 18th green while treating fans to a climate-controlled tent, outdoor stadium-style seating, private executive restrooms and deluxe food and beverage options for purchase.
