Cleveland Golf: RTZ Wedges

The new wedges from Cleveland Golf called RTZ retail for under $200.

ORLANDO, Florida – Cleveland Golf’s latest wedge introduction is the RTZ Wedge made from Z-Alloy, a very low-density steel engineered just for golf clubs that increases the feel over traditional alloys.

Cleveland’s RTZ wedges use a new Z-Alloy 10% softer than that used in the previous RTX 6 model. Not only is it softer and not as dense, but this allowed engineers to put lighter material in the heel and hosel which moved the center of gravity closer to the center of the face.

“When we first started working with Z-Alloy, we learned quickly it was going to allow us more flexibility in our Wedge design and we wouldn’t be limited on what we wanted to create,” said Patrick Ripp, Tour Engineering Manager at Cleveland Golf. “The enhancements this new material offers shows up in every area that matters. The feel is pure, aesthetic is cleaner, and the consistency golfers will see around the greens is improved. From top to bottom, this is our most complete Wedge to date.”
