SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass – As the holiday season approaches, Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth, MA and the Yarmouth Food Pantry will partner for the 16th Annual Turkey Shoot-Out and Food Pantry Drive on Saturday November 20th.
Proceeds from the annual fundraiser go to the Yarmouth Food Pantry’s ongoing efforts to provide critically needed food for people in the Yarmouth area.
During the event, as many as 150 golfers will play the course, with a portion of their entry fees donated to the Yarmouth Food Pantry. And many of the golfers who play in the event will win turkeys through closest-to-the-pin contests. Several winners often donate their turkey back to the cause.
Non-golfers are also encouraged to take part in the fun. The public is invited to drop off canned goods, non-perishable food items and grocery store gift cards to the Pro Shop from now through the day of the event on November 20th.
“We are so happy to help the Yarmouth Food Pantry in providing critical food supplies for those in need,” said PGA Head Professional Jim Campbell. “This annual event is a favorite among the team at Blue Rock and our many golfers who enjoy giving back to the community.”
