2024 FM Championship: What You Need to Know Before You Go

The LPGA's inaugural FM Championship tees off at TPC Boston August 26 - 29 featuring a field of 144 of the best female professionals vying for a first place check of $550,000 from the $3.8 million purse.

NORTON, Mass – The 2024 FM Championship will not only bring the world’s best golfers to the greater Boston area for four days of intense competition, but will also introduce an elevated fan experience with high-energy activations all around the grounds of TPC Boston.

WHAT TO DO

Located adjacent to the TPC Boston clubhouse, the Fan Zone will host fun activities for the whole family, including Golf Skee-ball, Battle Chip and Corn Hole. Fans can stop by Watch Out for that Hazard Mini Golf brought to you by FM to show off their talents with the flatstick.

Fans who visit the Photo Booth on Thursday will have an extra special opportunity to grab a pic with the Larry O’Brien Trophy, awarded to the winner of the NBA Finals. As all Boston sports fans know, the Boston Celtics captured the Larry O’Brien Trophy for a record 18th time in June 2024.

At the FM Risk Prevention Truck, research and solutions for risks such as fire, flood and high winds will be brought to life through several interactive exhibits. Fans can discover some of the ways FM helps clients see both property risks and innovative methods to prevent them.

Visit the Boston Common Golf’s Mobile Golf Simulator to participate in their Closest to the Pin Challenge. Daily winners will receive a pair of tickets to watch the Boston Red Sox play the Chicago White Sox on Sept. 8 at Fenway Park. Then head over to the TPC Boston Pro Shop to pick up the latest LPGA gear, including hats, polos, mid layers, accessories and more. A stop at the Practice Areas will allow fans to get up close and personal with the LPGA Tour stars competing in the FM Championship. While at the driving range, checkout one-of-a-kind memorabilia from Massachusetts and LPGA Tour legend Pat Bradley, thanks to a partnership with Mass Golf. See some of her exclusive items which will be showcased in their museum later this year and pick up some fun giveaways too.

The driving range will also host the Iovera LPGA Lesson Zone, a unique fan activation that offers free 10-minute lessons from LPGA Teaching Professionals. Lessons are available to fans of all ages and skill levels. On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the FM Championship will host a Junior Girls Golf Clinic, in partnership with the LPGA Foundation and LPGA*USGA Girls Golf and sponsored by BJ’s Wholesale Club and Devlin Energy. The clinic will include golf lessons and activities focusing on the 5 E’s of Girls Golf: Empower, Enrich, Engage, Exercise, Energize. Junior girls interested in participating in the clinic must register in advance, with limited spots remaining.

WHO TO WATCH

The 2024 FM Championship field includes 56 LPGA Tour winners, highlighted by 15-time champion Jin Young Ko and two-time 2024 winners Hannah Green and Lauren Coughlin. Green and Coughlin are two of 10 2024 LPGA Tour winners in the FM Championship field, along with Moriya Jutanugarn, Yuka Saso, Linnea Strom, Bailey Tardy, Jeeno Thitikul, Chanettee Wannasaen, Amy Yang and Rose Zhang.

The field also includes Massachusetts favorites Megan Khang, who hails from Rockland, and Alexa Pano, who grew up in Westborough. This year’s Olympic bronze medalist Xiyu Lin is one of 45 Olympians from the last three Games teeing it up south of Boston.

The FM Championship field will include three special exemptions – leading amateurs Elizabeth Rudisil and Yana Wilson, as well as Massachusetts native Alison Walshe. Three spots remain in the FM Championship field, to be filled by the winner of the AIG Women’s Open (if not already in the field) and the top two finishers of Monday’s Local Qualifying Round.

HOW TO VISIT

Tickets are available for purchase at www.SeatGeek.com. Daily general admission tickets are $54, with weekly general admission passes available for $118. For an elevated viewing experience, U.S. Virgin Islands Champions Club packages, which include a parking pass, start at $385 for daily admission and $1,420 for weekly access. The U.S. Virgin Islands Champions Club at the 16th green will provide incredible views of the featured par-3 hole, along with access to shared food and beverage service, which includes light bites, afternoon snacks, water, soft drinks, beer and wine, as well as access to upgraded restroom facilities.

Additionally, a special Inside-the-Ropes experience is available for $1,500. This unique opportunity allows two guests to walk inside the ropes with a featured group during a competition round. The experience also includes access to the U.S. Virgin Islands Champions Club and general parking.
