“Snake Pit” at Innisbrook poses challenge for Valspar pros

Victor Hovland is the defending champion of the Valspar Championship at the world-famous Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort.

PALM HARBOR, Florida – The legendary Copperhead Course will test the top PGA TOUR pros as they compete for the 2026 Valspar Championship title, and in order to win, you must get through the “Snake Pit,” which are the closing three holes at the popular resort, located near Tampa.

Innisbrook Resort, which was recently nominated for Best Golf Resort in the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award, welcomes the 39th edition of the tournament marking the end of its four-stop trek through the Sunshine State. The leaderboard shows some recognizable names in the hunt including defending champion Viktor Hovland, and betting favorites Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Speith and Justin Thomas.
