2018 New England PGA Stroke Play Results

CANTON, MA – Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA welcomed the second New England PGA Stroke Play Series event of the season. It was a perfect day for golf, not a cloud in the sky and temperatures reaching high 70s. Designed by Eugene “Skip” Wogan in 1925, this beautiful par-72 track welcomed a PGA Championship in 1956.

Bob Bruso, PGA (Blackstone National) a very familiar name in the New England Section added another big victory to his resume. Carding a -4 (68), Bruso sat on top of the leaderboard the entire day. Bruso wrapped up both the front and back nine with a pair of birdies.

Following close behind was Allan Menne of Mink Meadows in Tisbury, MA. Menne carded a -3 (69) and had an excellent 33 on the back nine. Placing third with a score of -2 (70) was John Rainone of North Kingstown GC.

Carding under par rounds was Matt Arvanitis of Hooksett, NH, Kirk Hanefield of Salem CC, Frank Dully of Kernwood CC, and Rich Karbowski of Berlin, MA.
