Golf Digest Names Club Champion One of America’s Best Clubfitters

Club Champion was ranked among the best clubfitters for the ninth consecutive year in a Golf Digest study which also found that 8 out of 9 Club Champion custom fit golfers lowered their score by as much as 6 strokes per round and added up to 21 yards off the tee.

Willowbrook, IL – Golf Digest, one of the most respected publications in the golf industry, has released its 2019 list of America’s 100 Best Clubfitters and for the ninth year in a row Club Champion is ranked among the best.

“The 2019 list is the result of consultation of industry sources and a survey of nearly 1,500-members nationwide, as well as America’s 100 Greatest Course-ratings panel on the best places in their respective locations,” according to Golf Digest’s equipment editor Mike Stachura. “We also considered nomination submissions, a detailed application form and reader recommendations of more than 800 facilities including shops, fitting studios, golf courses, practice ranges and teaching academies.”

Club Champion placed all thirty-four of its locations on the list that were open during the submission period. Club Champion has been a staple on this list and company founder Nick Sherburne was among those selected to answer fitting questions in the article tied to the Top Fitters list.

Ranked by Golf Datatech in a 2018 study as the No. 1 specialty fitter in volume and the No. 2 fitter overall behind Golf Galaxy, Club Champion is positioned at the forefront of the fitting and premium club sales business.
